LED floor tiles are the next step in the modern world of event and party spaces. Any modern venue can be improved through the addition of LED floor tiles, which can be performed as a retrofit or included in the initial design of the space.
LED floor tiles will add energy and excitement to your space, and this article will tell you everything you need to know about this exciting technology!
The standard building block of an exciting LED floor is the P10 LED display screen. The P10 LED display screen is an array of 512 high-intensity LEDs situated on a plastic backing. Each screen has a rectangular matrix of 32 LEDs per row and 16 LEDs per column, and each of these hundreds of LEDs can be actuated independently in order to create a variety of exciting multicolored and moving displays and patterns. Each LED can also vary in brightness, giving you total control over the output display of the P10 module. P10 LED display screens can be arrayed into a grid of effectively infinite size, allowing you to create an enormous dance or party space with a totally unified LED system.
The P10 LED display screen has excellent technical specifications. With a voltage input of 5 volts of direct current and a power consumption at maximum load of 20 watts, the P10 LED display screen can output 3500 to 4500 nits of brightness. The P10 is especially excellent for use in floor or wall tiles because it can be viewed from a high angle, has dramatic contrast between LEDs of different colors, and is rated waterproof to IP65 regulations. While the standard P10 LED display generates colors using red, green, and blue lights, the P10 full color LED display screen achieves an even greater range of colors through more base colors for a more complete experience.
As alluded to previously, LED floor tiles have a myriad of applications in any modern space. LED dance floor tiles are great for use in traditional social and party settings, such as bars and dance halls. A pool table inlaid with LED floor tiles is an excellent way to attract customers to a new and trendy bar. Businesses can also incorporate LED floors; a hotel lobby is a flashy place to include this technology, as are staircases where these tiles can replace traditional boring lighting methods. Finally, public works projects and home improvers can take advantage of this LED technology. LED tiles can join a remodel in brightening up your garden, or as signage on roads, accents in parks, or a focal point in garden squares.
LED floor tiles can be made with multiple different materials to back and protect the LEDs. LED floor tiles are often made with glass covers, which allows for clearer light, a smoother surface, and a classier look. Glass LED tiles are preferable for more fragile applications, as they are superior in transmitting the LED's light with less power intake; however, they are more likely to be damaged with physical contact. Using these tiles for road signs, attractive garden features, or ceilings are recommended.
Other LED floor tiles use transparent silicone as their protecting cover material. While silicone is worse at transmitting light, making these tiles require more power input, it is also much more robust to physical contact. Using LED floor tiles with silicone is recommended for applications that have to survive a lot of wear and tear, such as dance hall floors, bar floors, or similar uses. LED tile dancing tiles are more likely to work long term with silicone covers.
A much cheaper, but ultimately inferior, alternative to interactive LED floor tiles is a traditional projector. The concepts behind each means of introducing light and excitement into your space are rather different. A projector can only project a pre-determined image or video onto a flat surface within your venue. The projector requires a clear line of sight between the projector and the wall, floor, or ceiling that you are projecting onto. In contrast, interactive LED floor tiles give you much more control and interactivity. This interactive flooring doesn't require a clear line of sight to any source of light, as they generate their own light internally. They also give more control over brightness and color ranges, as they are a more high-tech option. In addition, LED floor tiles can be incorporated with touch sensors for a unique experience. Touching a point on an LED tiled wall can cause a visual phenomenon such as a blossoming circle of light, which a projector cannot do, making an LED floor interactive floor superior.
While a projector is the cheaper option to illuminate a wall, floor, or ceiling, interactive LED floor tiles are the superior option in the long term. LED floor tiles give you more freedom to use your space, as they don't require a clear line of sight, and they have more options than a projector.
While LED floor tiles are an amazing technology, there are a couple of downsides to consider. As these tiles can be quite thick - up to 6 inches - laying them on the ground means that you have to increase your stage height correspondingly or else there is a risk of your customers falling or being injured by the height discrepancy.
However, this problem inherently suggests its own solution. If you don't want to change your stage, you can also include custom ramps to transition to the LED floor. Ramps will reduce the risk of injury, and will also provide an opportunity for greater creative expression in their implementation. These ramps can be made out of rubber for greater traction, or steel for greater durability and a cleaner, more modern look.
This concludes our discussion of LED floor tiles. Now that you know all of the specifics and benefits of this technology, you are ready to incorporate it into your own business. You can also rent led light floor tiles to get an idea of how LED floor tiles work!
